As an annual tradition, my family and I hosted yet another birthday event (for the 5th year in a row ) at Kids Against Hunger (KAH), spreading love to those around the world.  We intended this not only to be a fun-filled birthday celebration for me turning 14, but nonetheless also a chance to give back to our communities.  It was really a pleasure to work with Kids Against Hunger: a non-profit organization that aimed to help children experiencing malnutrition and starvation, ranging across many countries such as Ukraine, Haiti, and many more. Just in a mere three months, Kids Against Hunger was able to pack a total of 3 million meals to be shipped to Ukraine, reminding us that even the smallest impacts compound, and create a lasting change.

Nevertheless, the effort of hosting this event was not simple and straightforward.  We needed to fundraise so that the food ingredients needed for our packing event can be covered.  My family and I along with a few others made a homemade dessert called Snowflake Crisps, a sweet treat that is delicious and heart-felt.  Along with the weeks of hard work, we sold a total of 155 bags of Snowflake Crisps, which made this event possible.  Last but certainly not least, this would not be possible without all the supporters and friends that helped us throughout the packing event on 3/8/2026, packing a whopping total of 12,000+ meals to be shipped to Ukraine for those in need.  Whether it was for individuals who had lost their homes or those struggling in despair, Kids Against Hunger made sure they were taken care of -- one meal, one heart, one child at a time.  We hope to continue this wonderful event next year and I hope to see you there!
