This holiday season, Small Hands Big Hearts had the incredible opportunity to partner with Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering hope and joy to children in need around the world. We were truly honored to visit the Los Angeles headquarters of Operation Christmas Child and witness firsthand the care, dedication, and heart that go into every single shoebox.

From the moment we stepped inside, the space was filled with jolly Christmas spirit: laughter, teamwork, and an overwhelming sense of joy. Our kids had the chance to participate in checking and preparing shoeboxes for shipment, ensuring that each gift was carefully packed and ready to reach a child across the globe. There was something deeply moving about knowing that a simple shoebox could carry smiles, encouragement, and hope thousands of miles away.

Beyond the excitement, this experience allowed us to see what truly happens behind the scenes. We learned about the thoughtful protocols in place to ensure each box is appropriate, safe, and handled with care. Understanding the process gave our kids a deeper appreciation for the organization’s mission and the level of responsibility and love that goes into every step of the journey.

This visit reminded us that joy is meant to be shared, and that even small hands can help create a big impact. Through opportunities like this, our kids not only spread kindness but also learn what it means to serve with intention, respect, and heart.

We are deeply grateful to Operation Christmas Child for welcoming us, inspiring us, and allowing us to be part of something so meaningful this Christmas season. We hope to incorporate this into our annual activities for years to come...

"Because when many small hands come together, big hearts create lasting change."
